No, but in the province of Nova Scotia that is not a legal requirement. There is no licensing requirement to use the job title Chef.
Yes, Dr. Leary, I am aware of this, but to be hired on as chef in a resort facility like yours the province requires a cooks trade certificate, so it is more of an ethical duty on your part not to claim ownership to a job title you haven’t earned.

There is requirement to have a person on site who has a valid food handler certificate.
And who is eligible to obtain this certificate?
To my knowledge, it is available to anyone in the public.
So what you are saying then Dr. Leary is that as long as somebody in the kitchen has this food certificate on hand washing and food hygeine, and it could even be yourself, you are a chef?

These are guests at your Trout Point Lodge sir, and they all have tried to register complaints about your cooking school on Trip Advisor. Are you aware of this?
I am aware that fake reviews are posted to Trip Advisor all the time which is why my partners and I have a privacy waiver for our guests to sign, this protects their privacy from intrusive cellphone cameras and other technologies and protects us from fake reviews posted.
