Continued bad times at the Legal Department at the Super 8 Motel Part 2. Quitclaim Magee sues Danny Abel for defamation

with 10 comments

As soon as I get the docs I’ll be posting them folks because the jackassery associated with the Goatherder Nation is seemingly endless. Background information on Quitclaim Magee can be found in part 1 of this series.

    • It is. I just got a nice peeksie at the file. I’ll update this post a bit later with the case documents.

  2. Referring back to Part 1 of this Series, I asked the question: Does anyone believe Mr. Abel will pursue this Martin opinion further with the 5th Circuit or the US Supreme Court?

UPDATE: It appears that before I even asked that question, Mr. Abel had already conferred with “Amicus Counsel and their related agencies” and he has indeed informed all concerned that a writ of certiorari is being prepared to be filed with the USSC on or before March 20, 2013.

It is also confirmed that the fax machine at the Super 8 Airport, N.O., LA (504) 455-6287, was used to transmit that notice.

    • Will he still have a law license on March 20, 2013? The guy is off his rocker.

      • That SHOULD be a good question.

On the other hand, he suggests he has “amicus counsel”, so he might have some help.

  3. Question: Did the Martins have valid claims regardless of Abel’s demonstrated incompetence?

Question: What is Bill Magee’s reputation around St. Tammany legal circles?

  4. nrb:

Good questions. I would like to add a couple:

    1. Did Mr. Abel perform any independent due diligence and then tell the Martins they had valid claims?

    2. Did Mr. Abel rely in any way on “Bill Magee’s reputation around St. Tamanny legal circles” in his decision to pursue the matter?

    • seems like performing due diligence is an ethical hurdle that is to high for mr. abel to jump

  5. The FBI is still looking at Mr. Magee’s shenanigans from what I understand. There was supposedly a raid on his office and that of his former partner, now Judge Devereux, some time back. The wheels of justice grind slowly.
