  1. I noticed there was a problem with the embedded link to the 9 page pdf file. It has been corrected.

  2. One of those names is very interesting considering the announcement of Businessman A & Ray Nagin today.

    • You would not be referring to the businessman who owns theaters in New Orleans and Houston, would you?

      • The businessman who owns theaters in New Orleans could be on that list or he could be one of the other two bank presidents who were his partners in the deal. Which one of those banking magnets (Crescent Bank, Liberty Bank, First NBC) could be Businessman A? The Fox 8 and WDSU team think Solomon while Nola.com & WWLTV are staking out the other two for interviews. WGNO is visiting a buffet looking for Newell Normand.

  3. Actually make that two names are very interesting considering Ray Nagin loved to donate NOAH properties to #5 on that list.

Slabbed gets the breaking news story on this since the rest of the news media is too slow in getting the information on the next indictment out. All trails lead to Businessman A.

Contrary to some news media accounts Ray Nagin has alot of ammunition in his back pocket that he can give up in order to get a lesser sentence. River Birch is one but there are several other Jefferson Parish connections the Feds would love to get their hands on. NOAH donations on the Westbank and in Central City are two of those where Nagin could undermine the mafia’s influence in New Orleans.

  6. So….prez of Liberty lives across street from C. Ray’s old house on Park Island. Solomon is/was a property owner in that neighborhood as well and his parents still live there, on Bayou St. John.
    Small World.

    • RatherNotSay: Isn’t amazing how politico crooks of a feather live close together. Like all the political crony businesses in kenner in the same commercial building and their residences on the westbank and eastbank also are so close together.

Are they operating on a Taliban basis these days and making da’ deals in pur’son only?

  7. Would Lake Forest Plaza be one of C. Borgus’ deals?
Guess where his new house is located?

  8. Props to Gordon Russell and Nola.com for updating their story to include Grand of the East LLC information containing the names of the three partners. Cesar Burgos was a late entry joining the party in 2009 by the way and he did not have an interest in the movie theater only Ryan, McDonald, and Solomon did.

I believe that if Ryan or McDonald are indicted the banking insitutions that they head up will no longer be in business because a convicted felon can’t run a bank per the FDIC. Solomon would possibly be in the same predicament with Crescent Bank & Trust if he is Businessman A.

  9. Ryan is also involved with Ken Charity and the Lake Terrace Shopping Center in Gentilly. They attended more than one neighborhood association meeting as a pair and more than one verbal dustup occured.

The Lens has the skinny on Charity, update on nola.com.
