Its been a year since the taxpayers voted thumbs up for an Inspector General for Jefferson Parish.

But then there was the Administrations' excuse the full 1.5 million assigned from the street lighting fund won't be available till 2013

I understand that certain names as potential candidates for IG have been selected for vetting but there's no money for the vetting till the 1.5 million is fully available.

Hell, had Young just kept AMV and appointed her Special Prosecutor, told her to stir the sh*t and dig out the corruption the stink would all be gone by now. Then again,Young himself may have been gone also.

Mr. Young after the facts came to light of Ms. Parker's Pilfery of parish funds and Mr. Whitmer's illegal use of his public position to corupt the parish contracting of insureance, what steps did you take to protect whistleblowers and were those changes in place when you terminated Ms. Hilliard ?

Quite honestly, Young is fucked.

QUESTION: Mr. Young, why would you have the commission of a criminal act be made a part of your managerial protocol ?

These are the facts and only the facts as we have distilled from a full review of the lawsuit by Ms. Vandenweghe and any number of comments made here on Slabbed relating to the same:

1) HERE’S the unambiguous law in this state, which we will presume includes Jefferson Parish,

“L.R.S. Criminal Law
Title 14

§122. Public intimidation and retaliation.

A. Public intimidation is the use of violence, force, or threats upon any of the following persons, with the intent to influence his conduct in relation to his position, employment, or duty:

(1) Public officer or public employee.”

2) HERE’s what Mr. Young did,

He demanded a letter of resignation to be tendered for his pleasure, as a prerequisite for his considering whether an at will employee would remain in his employ. Failure to sign this resignation letter would result in immediate termination. We suggest that any reasonable person would perceive this as a threat to their livelihood/employment.

3) HERE’S the deal,

Mr. Young is a lawyer and had served as an Asst DA for the Parish of Jefferson. Ignorance of the law will not be an acceptable answer for his violating the law as stated above. In fact the opposite is true, his action was an affront to the law. We would also suggest that Mr. Young’s sole intent was to receive a signed resignation for whatever beneficial purpose he imagined such use of the instrument could and/or would be.

4) HERE’S the future for the Parish of Jefferson,

A class action suit by any number of at will employees who refused to sign this letter of extortion and were terminated. And in conclusion, we suggest that intimidation of a public employee is not only illegal, it is egregiously immoral.
